V for Victory-
DONE! You all must have been ringing those cowbells hard, because I raced through the v-neck version very quickly. Usually I get stuck on a project somewhere, whether it is at the finishing stage or at the gague stage....but not this time.So for my version of the v-neck there are shaped decreases around the neck, all done 2-stiches in so you can seen them. The V is at a non-pornographic spot, meaning it comes close to the bra line without needing a cami underneath. Perfect length for some openess without risking overexposure of TheGirls. To echo the other edges of the sweater I worked the neckline with a folded hem--this way if you use a picot or a garter stich turning row on the bottom of the sweater, you can use the same at the top. The hem has a fixed center stitch at the bottom of the v (you increase and decrease around that point, its simple and decorative).
I also whipstiched the live edge of the hem to the inside of the neckline, something I have done before with other sweaters. It is very easy (the stiches match one-to-one with the hem stitches) and it makes a very un-bulky seam. Plus, you save the step of binding off.
I am so ready to make my own personal version--this one is the 32 size, which is too snug for me (no laughing please, I am trying to be nice to myself). Fantastic pattern! Thanks Ann and Kay!
